At the final press conference on Nov. 5, the much-anticipated fight between WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley and slugger Brandon Rios, the Wynn Resort and Casino has made the Desert Swarm a heavy 5-1 favorite.

Bradley’s trainer Teddy Atlas said they didn’t see Rios the same way as the bookmakers.

“We disagree,” Atlas said. “We did not prepare for a 5-1 underdog. We prepared for a guy who is even money.”

“He’s a guy who starts coming forward at the National Anthem,” Atlas said. “The good news is we’ve prepared for that fighter, We spent the last seven weeks preparing for that fighter, mentally, emotionally, physically,”

Saturday night’s fight will be the first time Bradley will have someone other than Joel Diaz in his corner. Bradley parted ways with Diaz prior to training camp seven weeks ago, and hired the veteran Atlas, who worked with such stars as Mike Tyson and Michael Moore.
